UFCL-limiter for Deep Sea No.1 Phase II Project into Operation

May 2024, The Fault Current Limiter for the CNOOC Lingshui 25-1 project, the Deep-Sea No.1 Phase II Project, was successfully put into operation. The UFCL-limiter will protect offshore gas field electrical system against fault currents, ensuring reliable power supply and efficient operation of the electrical system.

The Deep Sea No.1 Phase II Project is an outstanding brand certified by the central enterprise brand leading action. The gas field went into operation in June 2021, which has become the world’s first 100,000-ton-level deepwater semi-submersible production and storage platform that can work in extreme weather and at a maximum depth of 1,500 meters. The remote operation was the first step for building an intelligent deep-sea gas field system, which will enhance China’s comprehensive oil and gas extraction ability and self-reliance in relevant fields.
